I bought a used ALICE frame (including a medium backpack) which appears to be a LC-1 frame (black, no space between frame and crossbar) with LC-2 straps (single strip webbing, dual quick release, large kidney pad). I think I'm happy with that and not going to go for 100% accuracy to GB1 or GB2.Don't know, but I would say to be extra careful about releasing it, since mine snapped
But does anybody know if there's a way to make the hard plastic "quick release" belt buckle actually quick-releasable? At least on my pack it's very hard to open. Obviously I could replace it with a different buckle, but it would be nice to keep it screen accurate but still easier to open.

I'm not sure if it's a common thing, but mine was SUPER brittle and snapped in the first few days. I replaced the buckle with a parachute clip.
