Collectibles • Re: Which is the Most Accurate !?

Matty Collector only made the thrower, they didn't produce a Proton Pack.

As for accuracy, the Mattel and Hasbro Proton Gun replicas both have their accuracies and inaccuracies, so neither is a stand-out choice...

Here's a few things I've notived:

Switches
They appear to be plastic on the Mattel thrower, and metal on the Hasbro one.

Brass banjos
They're unpainted black plastic on the Mattel thrower, and brass-effect on the Hasbro one.

The hat light on the barrel
The hatlight is practically red on the only Mattel thrower, and it's more orange-red on the Hasbro one. It's still inaccurate on the Hasbro offering, but it's less inaccurate.

The Clippard valve
The Clippard Valve is more accurate in its proportions on the Mattel thrower.

The top silver knob
The silver knob on the top of the Gun Box is too thick on the Mattel thrower.

Some people have managed to configure their Mattel Proton Gun to work with their Hasbro Proton Packs, but they aren't naturally compatible out of the box.
