I appreciate Back in Town for filling in some gaps between films, but I just couldn't get into it. The art wasn't for me, and the story took some odd turns. That said, I did like the pages where I thought Dead Man's Chest was a real improvement. The artwork and villain were more engaging.
It took IDW a few tries to rise to the level they did by 2011, so I'm still optimistic for Dark Horse's future efforts. If they remain in midquel territory, I hope they do a story of how the paranormal research center was set up. I've always wondered how the Possessor and the other ghosts were captured.
Venkman has yet to appear in the series. Has it been stated if that's a creative choice or if they've been told not to use him like IDW were told (for a time) not to use Dana and Louis?
