If you really want it to stick use the JB metal weld. Used it a few years back to piece my throwing chicken nuetrona wand back together after I threw on my pack not knowing my straps weren't tightly attached.Well I sadly didn't make use of it this Halloween for various reasons, and likely won't get a chance until next Halloween. It's been hanging there fine since I've stuck it back together though. My cousin also bumped into the entire pack the other day with no real issues. So far it seems ok. I like the wood block idea. If I need to I may try fixing it like that, but as of right now it's alright. When I first got one of my spirit packs, since they were my first adult packs of any kind, something like this sort of break would have really upset me. Now it's kind of amusing cause it comes off as a normal break to me that the guys would have hobbled a fix together haha.
I've had the plastic weld break off from falls (though it's usually a clean break) but the metal weld stays reinforced.
Only problem is it sets much quicker so you gotta work fast. Can be fully sanded down though.
