You are out of game; those are just artefacts of the mold. The "vent diffuser" is actually made up of two pieces. One is the massive clear plastic piece that is also the bargraph and blinking white LED next to the vent, and the other is a sheet of milky white plastic ultrasonically welded on to diffuse the LED for the vent.
You always have the option of just removing the clear bit entirely. Especially if you replace the wand electronics.
