Quick update:
I filed a transaction dispute/chargeback via my bank shortly after reading the above post by prodestrian—the time limit wasn't even something I had considered & I didn't want to risk having to eat the entire cost of everything, especially given the total lack of communication
I don't know if that had any impact, but a day or two after receiving the form letter in the mail indicating that the process had started, I suddenly got an automated update email from shopify that said my order had shipped
Maybe a week to a week & a half later, my patches finally showed up, just about two months to the day after I'd initially placed my order
Now that I actually have these patches in hand, I can confirm that they're easily some of the best, if not the best, I've ever seen available on the market—I mean these things are flat out gorgeous to the point where I literally don't even care about the complete lack of customer service
Needless to say (but I'm gonna say it anyway), I cancelled the dispute immediately because I couldn't be more happy to pay the guy the exceedingly reasonable price he's asking for in exchange for such beautiful work
So I guess if anybody else sees this & is on the fence, the general consensus seems to be that you likely don't need to worry—it may take awhile & it might be frustrating not being able to talk to the guy about updates when you've been waiting long enough that it's reasonable to start to worry, but you'll probably receive your items eventually & you'll almost certainly be thrilled with the quality once you have them
As for anybody who only received part of your order, I can't really comment or offer advice on what to do about it other than to say that—for whatever it's worth—it's most likely an honest mistake on his part rather than any sort of willful, deliberate attempt at scamming people
