I wanted to get some opinions from others on this...
Back in late 2011, I got an iPod Touch - 8GB, Black, 4G (4th Generation, 2011) [technically 4.5/5th Generation]. I stopped using it around 2017 when I upgraded to an Android tablet, and later also an Android phone with a bigger screen than the iPod Touch. For the past seven years, the iPod Touch has sat untouched. I kept it around thinking I might want to play the games that are installed on it... but I never went back to playing them. At this point, I don't see myself ever playing it again.
While the device is severely outdated - it can no longer connect to Apple services (iTunes, app store, mail, etc.) - most of the games and apps are still usable/playable. That includes the Beeline & Paranormal Blast Ghostbusters games.
I was thinking about selling the device with the games on it, since some of them are no longer available from the app stores. Does anyone think there might be any interest in this? Are there any fans who would still want to play these two games? What kind of value would the device (with all of the original packaging and materials) have *with* these games on it? The device by itself was going for $200 at time of release in late 2011. Obviously, the device depreciated in value tenfold since then, but I think the games might add value back to this.
Of all of the apps and games installed on it, I think these five might be the most "treasured":
-- Ghostbusters (by Beeline Interactive, Inc.)
-- Ghostbusters: Paranormal Blast (by XMG Studio Inc.)
-- Jaws Revenge
-- Atari's Greatest Hits (with 100 full games: 18 Arcade games & 82 Atari 2600 games!)
-- Marvel's The Avengers: A Second Screen Experience (for use with The Avengers Blu-ray)
Some photos are below.
