Proton Packs • Advice on separating the foregrip on the 1984 Hasbro wand?

I just got a 1984 wand as a Crimbus gift, and I've already begun the modding process. I managed to pop out the vent light cover and make the grip twistable, but I can't seem to pop the two halves open. I can see screws, they just don't seem to want to come out for some reason.

EDIT: Ignore me. I got it soon after I posted this. Basically had to pry the thing open with a large flathead screwdriver.
