Vastly simpler, only one gear and no limit switches and just as fast. Tape was just to hit the limit switch but didn't need it as it was working but not clicking so couldn't hear it. With no gearbox, cut printing time in half and only servo for wiring and one switch. After a few hundred up and down cycles, I'll call it good to go.
