I've started work on my charging station. I've added some of the components already. So far nothing is actually live in there, i.e. the wires from the orange LED on the right are loose and theres nothing poking into those lens caps.

Speaking of... Despite meticulously drawing a straight line and progressively drilling slightly larger holes bit by bit I somehow misaligned my two holes where one was noticeably higher than the other. So i made each hole slightly bigger one with more headroom and the other widened at the bottom. I then used a couple of rubber washers to disguise and i think they look alright. I don't think they look out of place.

I still need to cut holes for the rectangular I/O toggle and the regular toggles at the top. I have also designed a 3D printable part for them to sit on to better match the screen appearance. At the moment I am 3d printing a rainbow dinosaur for my daughter so I'll make these next time I'm doing something in black.
