I've been learning the Ghostbusters classification system, and my way of memorizing it all is to try to classify supernatural characters when I'm watching/reading things. Right now I'm watching Beetlejuice with my wife (to prep for seeing the seuqel).
The maitlands die, and their ghosts return home. The aren't missing any body parts, so I'm thinking full-body. They can't leave the house, so focused. And they are fully aware of their identity and are easily recognizable, so I was thinking Class 4.
The rub is that no one can see them. So I started thinking about Class 1's and Class 2's. These are ghosts that can't fully manifest themselves. WIth Class 2's just being a stronger version of Class 1's. I was thinking, perhaps class 3/4 ghosts begin as Class 1's and Class 2's, but it just takes them a while to learn how to properly manifest yet. To us we just become aware of them as cold spots or EM disturbances; but they have their full bodies...we just can't see them.
Does this make sense, or am I missing something?
