I searched the best I could and didn't find a thread that was talking specifically about the red parkas sold by 8th.logistics, so here I go.
I took advantage of the great sale they had for Ghostbusters Day, and picked up the entire package; Red Parka, Black Equipment Belt, Leather PKE Meter Holster, and the Pocket Gizmo from Imperial Tech Shop.
Shipping from China was fast, the package was in California within a few days, then for over a week it went on a wild ride thanks to USPS moving it to Michigan, Ohio, and then finally back to California where I live.
The parka is pretty cool, although I wish it was a bit bigger. I'm a big, tall guy, with an athletic built, and usually wear XL-2XL in shirts. I opted for the largest size they had which was a 2XL to make sure it fit well over my jumpsuit. Although the parka fits, it's a bit snug, mostly around the arms. I wish it was a bit bigger for better movement, but the tighter fit around the arms and shoulders make it fit nicely under the pack. The parka looks to be pretty close to the parkas used in the movie. It's a bit loud when moving around, but probably not too noticeable when you're out and about at events.
The Pocket Gizmo from Imperial Tech Shop is pretty cool, and will run for about eight hours on my smallest little USB charger. It fits perfectly in the clear pocket.
The Leather PKE Meter Holster is also pretty nice, and fits the Walmart/Rubies PKE meter perfectly. I thought it was pretty bulky at first, but looks and feels good hanging off the belt on the parka.
Now, let's talk about the Black Equipment Belt. Basically, it's crap! The length is okay, but it could be a little longer to fit the size of the larger parka. The clasp that was supposed to buckle the belt together didn't function at all. The little hook used to connect the two ends was almost perfectly straight, so I could not hook the belt together. I ended up cutting of both ends, removing all the metal pieces and replacing them with pieces I had from an old military spec gun belt. I was able to utilize the full length of the belt and it fits much better now.
Overall, I'm very pleased with the parka and all that was included. The only real issue that I can't resolve is the size being a bit small. I'd say if you usually wear a 2XL or larger shirt, there is a good chance this parka won't fit.
